THE HOP FARM SHIRE HORSES

Shire Horses have been an integral part of the Hop Farm since it was built in the 1890's.  Used to work the hop fields throughout the days of commercial hop picking, the farm then became a retirement home for Whitbread's horses until the farm was sold in 1997.  Six Shires are still homed at the Hop Farm and remain one of the best loved attractions.
