HADLOW FLOWER CLUB

Just a few years old the club have attained a membership of nearly sixty.  The aim is to have a friendly club, which enjoys flowers and making friends through flowers.  They meet once a month, in the Hadlow Old School Hall.

They have teach-ins twice a year, which the more experienced flower arrangers help members and visitors to create an arrangement to develop a new skill.

Other meetings are greatly enjoyed by members and visitors as they have NAFAS trained demonstrators - most are very entertaining.  They create approximately five arrangements, which are then raffled, and the lucky winner carries, or staggers, if it is a large one, home proudly bearing it.  So whilst watching these beautiful arrangements unfolding before their eyes they have a good laugh too and gain very useful tips.

They have a sales table where you can buy your flower arranging requirements, like oasis foam for arranging flowers in, which is normally cheaper than any retail outlet.

You can try your hand at judging the flower arranging competition; by simply choosing the one you like best.  The competition theme this year is entitled 'May be Recycled'
